Open educational resources are innovative not just because they are free, but because of how teachers adopt and creatively adapt them bringing them to life in the classroom or to reach every student. This session provides an introduction to Open Educational Resources including the principles of Open Education, how to spot an open resource and where to find them.

This session will highlight strategies for active learning that will help foster a learner-centered environment. We will specifically focus this session on the use of non-tech ways to encourage student engagement.
