DESCRIPTION:Ontario Extend is a professional learning program\, led by eCampusOntario\, grounded in the belief that the impact of learning should be the primary motivator for creating technology-enabled and online learning experiences. The program consists of 6 modules that explore key skills\, knowledge\, and attributes required to extend and transform our teaching and learning practices and to enrich our professional development. \nThe “Curator” module will explore ways to curate from your learners’ perspective to create engaging\, interactive\, and open course materials. It discusses Creative Commons and Copyright and explores strategies to search for\, find\, and evaluate Open Education Resources (OER). \nThe module will be delivered over a 4 week period\, beginning October 6th and ending October 29. It will be delivered primarily asynchronously\, along with three 1 ½ hour synchronous touch points. You can expect to spend approximately 2 – 4 hours/week learning independently in addition to the synchronous sessions. If your teaching schedule conflicts with the synchronous sessions you can still participate\, as sessions will be recorded and posted. \nThe first synchronous (Kick Off) session will take place on Tuesday\, October 6 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. \nThe second session (Check In) will take place on Thursday\, October 15 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.\nThe final session (Debrief) will take place on Thursday\, October 29 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. \n  \nClick here to register the Curator Module.
